Through the advocacy of the Community Associations Institute (CAI), their Legal Action Committee, the Missouri Association of Independent Agents, and your St. Louis area Community Insurance & Risk Management Specialists (CIRMS), we are happy to announce that the Missouri Department of Insurance expanded the moratorium on cancellations due to the 05/16/25 tornado claim.
Please read below for more information on updates from the State of Missouri Department of Commerce & Insurance with Insurance Bulletin 25-11 (Issued November 4, 2025). A revised notice has been issued from the Governor’s office through Missouri Executive Order 26-06 (issued on January 30, 2026). Please see below for links to view the addendum to Insurance Bulletin 25-10 from the Director of the DOI, Angela L. Nelson, is for post-storm (5/16/25 tornado) policy non-renewals and cancellations for homeowners and dwelling policies covering residential properties and master policies issued to condominium owners/associations.
